Engineer Adamu Ismaila
Executive Secretary FCDA
Engineer Adamu Ismaila was born on the 5th of October, 1956 at Numan in Adamawa State.
He had his primary education at St. Patrick’s Primary School, Numan between 1964 and 1970. From 1971 to 1975, he was at Villanova Secondary School, Numan for his secondary education. He was also at the North East College of Arts and Science, Maiduguri between 1975 and 1977.
Engr. Ismaila then proceeded to the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria between 1977 and 2001 where he obtained the Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering, Master’s degrees in Structural Engineering and Business Administration respectively. Also in his educational kitty is a Post Graduate Diploma in Management.
Between August 1981 and February 1982, Engr. Ismaila worked as a Site Engineer with the New Nigerian Construction Company, Kaduna. He thereafter joined the services of the FCTA/ FCDA as Engineer 1. He rose through the ranks to become a Director in October 2007.
Engineer Ismaila has held various responsibilities among which was the Chief of Staff to the FCT Minister from July 2007 to October 2008 and Director Special Duties in the Office of the Executive Secretary, FCDA, from March 2010 to November 2011 when he was appointed the Executive Secretary.
Engineer Ismaila is a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and a registered member of the Council for the Registration of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).
Engr. Adamu Ismaila is married and has four children
