FCTA, Japanese agency partner on reduction of water project

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) have entered into a partnership to ensure the FCT’s reduction of non-revenue water project which was recently launched by the agency. he project will enhance the technical and managerial capacity of FCT Water Board staff to adequately and efficiently operate, manage, maintain and extend urban water supply and activities will start from three pilot areas, namely; Garki 1, Gudu and Jabi but benefit will spread to the people of Abuja through the improved management of FCTWB. Some of the benefit of this project are: Reduction of NRW (non-revenue water), Reduction and control of water leakages, Improved metering system, and Improved billing system, Expansion of water coverage, Improved water quality and Good water pressure in the urban water system of Abuja.

FCTA has completed 10 new projects in Abuja – Minister

The Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Senator Bala Mohammed, has revealed that President Goodlcuk Jonathan’s Administration has recently completed and put to use ten new peoples-oriented capital projects in Abuja, the nation’s capital. The Construction of Phases III & IV Lower Usama Dam Water Treatment Plants, The infrastructure to Katampe District Extension project, Upgrading of existing engineering infrastructure to Apo/Garki Resettlement Village Water supply Lot II, as upgrading of existing engineering infrastructure to Apo/Garki Resettlement Village Road Network LOT I, Construction of Flyover Bridge at Mogadishu Cantonment,The engineering infrastructure to Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) quarters in Wuse II, The Access road / water supply to Federal Ministry of Works and Housing Estate, The construction of primary infrastructure to National Assembly Owner Occupier Housing Scheme at Dape District and supply and installation of Laser Automated Burglary Alarm System at Gudu District.
